This pattern is consistent, persistent and pervasive.

It would almost seem that it is organized and orchestrated.

The opposition would call these statements paranoid. Still, I am impressed with such an ubiquitous pattern.

So gays were stripped of rights. How is that not changing things? I think sometimes Pro Prop 8 people have convinced themselves that because, in their view, they have “righted a wrong” that it’s no harm, no foul.

I don’t think anyone should be surprised that once gays have been allowed to have the same rights as hetero couples that they’re not going to settle for “separate but equal” civil unions (let’s not even start that discussion as to whether or not they are truly equal).

You claim that the “bigger bigot” is the one who “shouts the double-standard.” I don’t disagree. You enjoy the legal protection to use YOUR religious choice to ensure other people cannot enjoy the legal protections of THEIR choices. Double-standard? Oh my, yes.

Say WHAT?

Everyone is free to have their own opinion and even judge others. But when one group takes away something from another, and mandates disapproval of another group, then all americans should be terribly afraid.

For example, did you see the “ban mormon marriage” t-shirts we’re selling? What would be your argument if such a law passed by the majority. Would you lie down and say that it was OK? I highly doubt it.
