From the Deseret News in Utah. No established link to Proposition 8.
Ogden police are investigating a bizarre fire at an LDS Institute of Religion building near Weber State University.Police said someone doused a plastic flower arrangement with an accelerant and lit it on fire inside the institute’s lobby on Sunday night.
“For one reason or another, either because common sense overcame their stupidity or what, they kicked it outside on the sidewalk and it burned out there,” Ogden Police Lt. Scott Sangberg said Wednesday.

From the Deseret News in Utah:
Owners of a Web site that specializes in advice and information for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints say their site was attacked the day following passage of Proposition 8 by people they believe opposed the measure.
Scott Proctor of Meridian magazine said the site was hacked into early Nov. 5, and its home page was replaced with “horrible, explicit lesbians films placed all over the cover.” Engineers took the site down immediately after the break-in was discovered, he said.

This whole thing just keeps on heating up! Amazing! ABC7 is reporting that temples in Salt Lake City and the Westwood area of Los Angeles have received some white powder. No, I don’t think it’s fairy dust! Wow, I hope the FBI doesnt come knocking on my door since I’m the #1 LA temple protester!
The L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center’s Chief of Staff, Darrel Cummings, has issued the following statement:
“Today, the Mormon temple in Los Angeles received an envelope containing white powder, raising the specter of anthrax. While the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center organized a peaceful demonstration against the involvement of the leadership of the Mormon Church in the deceitful Yes on Prop 8 campaign, we decry the use or threat of violence. Just as the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community seeks the right to be treated equally under the law, all Americans should have the right to live lives free from fear and violence.”
