This is a press conference that occurred during the campaign where the parents of the children being used in the infamous “San Francisco Field Trip” commercial by Yes on 8 object to their kids being used in the propaganda. They explain the TRUTH: that parents were asked for permission and indeed two families did not allow their children to attend. A principal explains more about the strength of California’s parental opt-out laws.
Members of the gay community said that almost every Friday night, a Christian group meets at the corner of Castro and 18th Streets. They try to convert gays and lesbians into a straight lifestyle. This Friday night, the message didn’t go over well. Some gays and lesbians reacted by trying to chase the group out of the Castro.

Targeting Mormons Unfair?
Equality California estimates that Mormons donated as much as $20 million to Prop. 8, while the Knights of Columbus, a Catholic fraternal group, gave $1.25 million to the effort and the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, $200,000.
